Meeting True Love After Betrayal Novel

Meeting True Love After Betrayal Novel – The bride-to-be’s perfect plans fell apart when she came home early and found betrayal. With her wedding card in one hand and her broken dreams in the other, she stood at their bedroom door, facing a life-changing decision. Should she leave and pursue a better life?

Driving home, I was already excited about tonight’s intercourse. I was even debating whether we should do it before or after dinner. We needed to get more comfortable in bed together and maybe try new positions. We’ve only done it twice and seriously lack experience. This wonderful thing deserves time and effort. According to my notebook, we should aim for 20 times a month, roughly five times a week. When I parked the car, I headed straight to the mailbox and opened it.

Inside was a thick stack of letters—well-wishes from friends and family. Wedding cards came from all over the world, in various colors and styles, each signed with blessings from loved ones. I love their congratulations and hang every wedding card on the wall. But now the wall is full, and I have no more space. Solving this is a new planning problem. I stuffed the cards into my bag and fumbled for my apartment keys. The keychain, modeled after Ransom’s image, is made of gold and very heavy. But I admit, a gold keychain is easily recognizable by touch because gold is much heavier than other materials, just like now. With my hands full of Chinese food, clothes from the laundry, and wedding cards, I had to find the keys by feel.

Thanks to the weight difference, I found the apartment key. When I opened the apartment door with an armful of things, I saw my fiancé Ransom’s work shoes. They were very dirty, as if he had stepped into a mud pit. God, I hope he didn’t sprain his ankle. Of course, I’m just kidding. I don’t like Ransom’s habit of leaving dirty shoes around. I noticed this habit before, but after I talked to him once, he stopped. Every time I came here, the apartment was always clean and tidy. Today must have been eventful. I’m not mad; I’ll just have to deal with him later. Life throws curveballs, and couples need to cut each other some slack. As a divorce lawyer, I’ve seen too many good relationships crumble over trivial stuff.

I remind myself constantly not to sweat the small stuff. People mess up—it’s human nature, not a flaw. I didn’t expect Ransom to be back so soon. I must’ve looked a bit disheveled from the commute. I needed a quick freshen up before facing him. “Honey, you’re home early,” I called out while slipping into some slippers. “Whose heels are these?” I muttered, eyeing a pair of bright red pumps in the shoe rack. I can’t stand red; it reminds me of nasty property disputes I deal with. These aren’t my style, and they’re way too high. My heart started racing. These definitely aren’t mine, but they scream young woman. The question is, whose are they? As I pondered, panicked noises from the bedroom grabbed my attention.

I tossed the clean red heels next to Ransom’s dirty work shoes. Trash sticks together. There were two doors in front of me: one leading out, like I hadn’t come home early, and the other to Ransom’s bedroom, where a woman’s moans and cries were coming from. Front or back, two doors. Which one should I choose? As a divorce lawyer, I know nobody’s perfect, even the happiest couples have their secrets. Some things you just let slide if you love someone. I asked myself if I loved Ransom. And I was sure I did. Instead of leaving, I reached for the bedroom door handle, hands trembling. This is our room.

Just a week ago, we shared something special here, making us more than just a boy and a girl. And now, he’s in there with another woman! Tears welled up, burning my eyes. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open, locking eyes with him. He was scrambling to get dressed, his breath still heavy. As for the woman, I didn’t care who she was, as long as she wasn’t Rose or Maverick. After a moment of silence, Ransom spoke, shaky, “You’re early.” “Yeah, I am. So, there won’t be a wedding. Plans have changed, and you’re out of my life.” I was supposed to get married this week! But my fiancé is with another woman in our bed! Is this what happens when you stray from your plans?
