Mysterious Mate To The Lycan Prince Novel

Mysterious Mate To The Lycan Prince Novel – As I approached the main gates of Blackbolt High, a highschool meant for werewolves, I could already pick up several conversations all around me. It wasn’t the first time I had heard most of the chatter, but on that morning, there seemed to be more enthusiasm and I wondered why. Even as I looked around, everyone seemed so hyped. With my sense of hearing so powerful, it was difficult to focus on a particular conversation. As soon as I stepped through the front doors, the sound of chatter and lockers slamming was much louder.

With my head low, I made my way down the crowded hallway so I could get to my locker. I didn’t bother to look up as I was certain all I would see would be the mockery on people’s faces, just because I was a wolfless Omega, or at least, that was what everyone believed. However, they were absolutely wrong about me. It had already been two years since I had transferred to Blackbolt High after moving to a small town called Raven Mist, and I was still considered a wolfless Omega. Just like outside, everyone seemed hyped and I became so curious that I had no choice but to pay attention. I instantly focused on a conversation nearby that caught my attention after two girls ran toward each other behind me. “This is so cool! A Warrior Selection Competition?” a voice said with excitement. Curious to see who had just spoken, I discreetly faced the other side and spotted two familiar girls holding some flyers. It was Phoebe and Sally. We weren’t friends and I wish we were, but wolfless Omegas got treated like trash at the school. The two of them were Betas.

Shutting that thought out, I decided to listen to their conversation as they leaned against a locker, which wasn’t too far from mine. The flyers in their hands greatly caught my attention. Phoebe spoke with her hand moving enthusiastically. “I’ve been training so hard my entire life and I think this competition is my chance to finally prove myself.” Sally nodded vigorously with wide eyes. “Me too! Can you imagine the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the grand prize? No one just goes to the Academy of Warriors, and winning this competition will grant someone here that opportunity through a full scholarship.” Pleasantly surprised, I raised my eyebrows as I faced my locker, just so it wouldn’t be too obvious that I particularly paid attention to the two of them and their conversation.

As I pretended to put my books in order inside my locker, I kept my ears perked up. “Are you ready for the brutal competition?” Phoebe asked, lowering her voice like that would make me hear her any less. “They’re going to test our strength, agility, and combat skills. Only the best of the best will make it through.” “That’s no big deal because hey, we’ve definitely got what it takes,” Sally declared confidently. “We’ve been training together for years now. I know we can do this.” “You’re absolutely right. This is our chance to show everyone what we’ve got.” The two girls then high-fived each other as their flyers fell to the floor. As they walked together, I watched them for a while, my mind filled with wonder. I had no idea there was such an important competition happening. Even without the way Phoebe and Sally had spoken about it, it was definitely a big deal. After I picked up one of the flyers, I couldn’t stop looking down at it.

The more I thought about it, the more it got me interested. Despite the way Phoebe and Sally had described the competition and said it would be brutal, it was nothing I couldn’t handle. My whole life, I had relentlessly trained by putting myself through the toughest of challenges. With each training session, my goal had always been to get stronger, which I always accomplished. And by entering the Warrior Selection Competition, I was determined to get even stronger. As I imagined myself taking part and emerging victorious, I softly chuckled to myself. “Calm down. You haven’t won yet,” Saga, my wolf, said to me. “I know that, but we can do this,” I replied to her in my mind. She liked to mess with me, but I knew she always meant well.

One of the most difficult things about having Saga as part of me was that I couldn’t let her out, not after what happened two years earlier, when I was 15. She was just too powerful. When two guys walking past my locker showed off a few moves for the competition, my mind drifted back to it and I was now determined to take part in it. Just then, my enthusiasm faded when I heard familiar voices and scents from a distance. I didn’t even have to turn around to know that it was Ruby speaking. She was the daughter of the richest Alpha in Raven Mist and the undisputed queen bee of Blackbolt High. At that moment, she wasn’t just talking about anything, but her participation in the warrior selection competition.
