Bye-Bye Ex-husband Hello Mr. Right Novel – “That’s it, ride me harder,” I heard a deep voice groan that sounded like my husband, Merrick’s raspy voice when he was buried inside of me. No no no no no no no no. Merrick sat on the couch, his head thrown back, a red head undressed on his lap. Those broad, strong hands I loved were on her waist moving her up and down on his purple con-dom-covered manhood. I heard a couple of the brothers call out sharp warnings of, “Prez,” and the room became silent except for the red head’s sounds. He snapped at his vice president, his voice shaking with rage, “Tuck, get her in my room now.” He was still inside her. He was still inside another woman.
Kinley Sixteen months later. This is perfect timing, I thought as I practically danced from the doctor’s office to my car. OK, if we’re being honest, I did dance and I didn’t care who saw me rocking out. Pregnant! Pregnant! Pregnant! The doctor had just confirmed the home pregnancy test I’d done two days ago in the bathroom of the pharmacy where I bought the test. (I couldn’t even wait long enough to get home to find out.) Merrick and I had decided right after we married to forgo birth control and try for a baby right away. Every month, my period came as regular as clockwork, sending a wave of disappointment crashing through me. After five months, I’d really started to worry that something was wrong with me clearly it wasn’t Merrick since he had fathered Nix.
Everyone told me that it wasn’t a cause for concern yet: my doctor, Merrick, my mother, my friends who had children, the mothers at the after school program, the ol’ ladies at the clubhouse. Outwardly, I tried not to let my worry show because I didn’t want to upset everyone, but every month that panicked buzz inside of me got a little louder. And now, right before our first anniversary, I was finally pregnant. The news was ready to explode out of me as I sped off to the Uncaged clubhouse. I couldn’t wait to tell Merrick before heading back to work. Giddy giddy giddy! He’d been patient with my no-baby worries, soothing me, calming me, listening to my fears and answering them with his calm logic. He’d turned out to be so much more than I’d imagined after our initial meeting.
Appearances really could be deceiving, and despite his rough-around-the-edges persona, he was a thoughtful, intelligent, reflective man who really listened, always focusing all of his attention on me. Those attributes made him a good MC president, but they made him an even better husband and father. Sometimes, I just watched him, my heart full, as he talked to, played with and gently teased Nix. Since he’d smooched me at the end of our first date, we’d been inseparable. I’d get off work and head over to either my apartment or Merrick’s house with Nix, and we’d have dinner, all three of us cooking together, then Nix would do his homework and reading at the kitchen table while Merrick and I cleaned up.
For a big, bad biker, Merrick was surprisingly tame and domesticated. I’d tease him about it, and if Nix was in bed already, he’d throw me down on the bed and show me just how untamed he was. If Nix was awake, well, he gave me a look that was pure IOU. He’d even won over my parents with his unapologetic and unmistakable devotion to me. When we were leaving after our first visit, Daddy had shaken Merrick’s hand and said, “I’m trusting you with my daughter. Don’t make me regret it.” Merrick had nodded seriously and said, “She’s everything in the world to me. I’d rather die than hurt her.” He was as good as his word. Merrick pampered and spoiled me, caring for me with exquisite tenderness, making sure I wanted for nothing — but really, I was happy with just Nix and Merrick and didn’t need anything else.
We were our own little world and I’d never known such happiness was possible. And now our cozy little trio was about to grow by one. – Not long after that visit to meet my parents, Merrick proposed and because the caveman didn’t want to wait long, my mother and I arranged my dream wedding in just over two months. Our relationship had only gotten better with each day. I quickly parked in the clubhouse lot and then ran toward the building, vibrating with excitement and joy. My mind was buzzing — we’d have to find some special way to tell Nix, but right now I couldn’t wait to throw my arms around Merrick and tell him he was going to be a father again. Two brothers were walking in, and I only caught the tail end of their conversation. “…wait to see the new talent. Prez always has to audition them first.” That was an odd comment, but I didn’t have the time to think about it because my mind was buzzing with the excitement of almost being able to spill my secret.
“Oh,baby, you feel so good. That’s it, ride me harder,” I heard a deep voice groan that sounded like Merrick’s raspy voice when he was buried inside of me. In fact, I couldn’t count the number of times those had been his exact words to me. Oh,baby, you feel so good, Kinley. I pushed past the two brothers who came in ahead of me and came to a dead stop. No no no no no no no no. Merrick sat on the couch, his head thrown back, a red head undressed on his lap. Those broad, strong hands I loved were on her waist moving her up and down on his purple con-dom-covered manhood. Her one hand was tangled in his hair, and her other clutched at his shoulder as she gasped and moaned, while he urged her on.
“Harder, baby. Come on, come all over my manhood.” There are moments in your life that you know you’ll never forget. There are moments in your life that you want to forget. This one was both. I must have made a sound because I heard a couple of the brothers call out sharp warnings of, “Prez,” and the room became silent except for the red head’s sounds. While I stood frozen, not even sure if I was breathing, my husband’s eyes opened and briefly scanned the room until his eyes met mine while he was buried deep inside another woman. His hands flexed on her hips, holding her down on him, not letting her move, and he said to me calmly, “Kinley, go to my room. Right now.” I took two steps back, thinking only to escape, but he snapped at his vice president, his voice shaking with rage, “Tuck, get her in my room now.”
He was still inside her. He was still inside another woman. I took another step back, but Tuck took me by the arm and practically had to drag me to Merrick’s room because my legs had forgotten how to function. He opened the door and put me inside the room. “Stay here, Kinley.” His order was soft but unmistakable. “Sh-it’s about to get bad.” Too late. It already is. Without another word, Tuck backed out of the room and shut the door. I could hear all he-ll breaking loose outside the door, but that was nothing compared to what was happening inside of me.
