Her Wild Night With The Billionaire Novel – “Baby?” Simone called. Her voice echoed in her boyfriend’s living room as she stepped inside. “Baby?” she called out again, dropping her leather bag on the couch. Then she saw them. Bouquet of roses. A jewelry box. A bottle of wine. Her heart skipped with excitement. “He remembered,” she murmured, guilt pricking her chest.
She had come there, ready to confront Lewis for forgetting their second-year anniversary, and possibly missing her promotion party that was happening tonight. “Lewis,” Simone said, moving closer to the items. She picked up the wine bottle from the brown table and her heart dropped. It was opened and beside it were two empty glasses she hadn’t seen. Her forehead creased as she returned the bottle and made her way to the room. “Lewis!” She yelled this time as she pushed the door open.
She froze. Lewis was on the bed with another woman. Their moans filled the air, turning her stomach. Shock rippled through Simone as she stood there, watching as her boyfriend pounded another woman. “Lewis!” Simone shouted, finally finding her voice. “Let me fucking come,” Lewis replied, his voice hoarse, a mixture of pleasure and annoyance.
Simone’s stomach twisted but she didn’t move; couldn’t move as she watched Lewis move with the same rhythm that once made her weak. “Ah! Yes! Yes!” Lewis yelled, his pace increased until he was breathing heavily, crashing onto the bed. Tears unexpectedly filled Simone’s eyes. She gritted her teeth, trying to stop herself from trembling. She had barely contained her shock when she saw the woman beside Lewis. “Sydney,” she gasped, more tears stinging her vision.
Sydney leaned on her elbow, a smirk on her lips. “Hey Simone, lovely for you to join us.” Simone blinked at Sydney’s audacity. Despite everything she had seen, a part of her still felt like there was an explanation for it. She ignored Sydney whose legs were now on Lewis’s shoulders. Lewis held the legs and kissed them one after the other. Simone winced. “What’s going on here?” she demanded, trying to sound in control but her voice wobbled. “What does it look like?” Sydney answered instead, her smirk widening. “We were playing volleyball.” Lewis laughed at the jab, running a hand through his hair. “It’s exactly as it is, Sim.
We are over.” The way he said her name made anger bubble inside her. He didn’t get to cheat on her and called her that. She wiped her tears with her hand, sniffling as she did. “Can’t believe I wasted two years on you!” She yelled, trying to sound as bitter as she could. “I gave you everything and you can’t even have the dignity to—“ “I gave you everything!” Lewis interrupted, wrapping the rosy bedsheet she had gifted him for Christmas around himself. “I am the one who wasted my time. You didn’t deserve anything. Not my love, and definitely not the job.” Sydney sneered and it pierced Simone’s heart.
She stepped closer, her eyes shining. “You can’t say you gave me the job. I worked my butt off to get there.” Lewis scoffed. “My influence did. You think Nate would employ a nobody like you if it wasn’t for me?” “Of course not,” Sydney chimed in, sitting upright. “We all know you only dated Lewis so his best friend could hire you, cheap hoe.” Simone gasped, tears threatening to fall.
Not now. Not here. They laughed and her cheeks burnt with embarrassment. But before the tears would fall again, she ran out. In the living room, she yelled as she flipped the table, dropping all its content. It was childish, but she didn’t care. She just wanted to feel something, anything other than the excruciating pain in her chest. Simone held the tears until she made it to her best friend’s house. When she reached, the tears fell, blinding her vision. She collapsed on the floor, her chest tightening with pain. “Simone?” Jasmine, her best friend called.
When she saw her, her voice instantly filled with concern. “What happened?” “Lewis… Sydney…” Simone said, her voice shaking. Jasmine sat down, wrapping an arm around her. “Take deep breaths and tell me what happened.” Simone obeyed, her heart steadying under Jasmine’s soothing voice. She hiccuped, a drop of tear escaping as she told Jasmine everything. “Sydney? The one at work?” Simone nodded. “How the hell does she know Lewis?” “From Nate, obviously,” Simone sniffled. “That bitch.
I can’t believe she did that. And Lewis? Tonight of all nights?” Jasmine’s voice rose with rage. Simone’s stomach twisted. Tonight was supposed to be the best night of her career. She had finally gotten promoted, finally risen to the position of news editor after uncovering a huge story. She was supposed to be with Lewis, celebrating a new milestone. He ruined their anniversary and now this, too. She wasn’t sure she even wanted to attend. “I’m not going,” she said out loud. Jasmine’s brow creased. “Absolutely not. You have worked so hard for this position and you deserve this party.” She hugged Simone tighter. “You can’t let this break you.”
